The Association Agreement is the most comprehensive and extended international treaty ever signed by Moldova. The implementation of this Agreement contributes to the political and socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova, through wide-ranging cooperation in a broad spectrum of areas of common interest, including in the field of legal approximation to best European practices, economic integration and social policy. The main scope of this article to show the positive impact of the Association Agreement in promoting the reform agenda of the country, enhancing economic cooperation and intraregional trade, the reduction of poverty and sustainable development. The paper analysis the progress on implementation the Association Agreement by Moldova in the field of legal approximation, trade efficiency, the structure of external trade on goods and services, including the challenges for Transnistrian companies. Based on carried out researches, proposals and recommendations could facilitate and accelerate the process of adjusting the national strategy on implementation the Association Agreement with EU, improving external trade with goods and services, as well as its contributing to the socio-economic development of the country with a better vision of the future. Moreover, which will provide for far-reaching regulatory approximation, market access liberalization, attraction of investments, in compliance with the rights and obligations arising out of the international organizations.
