The article describes the various methods for assessing the innovation potential of the organization, given their advantages and disadvantages. With the help of the considered methods of assessment, it is proposed to develop a unified system that will allow the most complete assessment of the organization's innovative activity at any stage of its development. And it will also allow us to work out a strategy for further development based on the results obtained. JEL: O12
