Nowadays, the business world has reached a peak and a considerable success even though the contemporary markets are full of products and services. However, there is an easier and more efficient way of launching business through franchising which is a continuing relationship in which a franchisor provides a licensed privilege to the franchisee to do business and offers assistance in organizing, training, marketing and managing in return for a monetary consideration. The purpose of this research is to analyze the structure of a franchising business, the rights and obligations of the two parties, to emphasize their advantages and disadvantages and to demonstrate that franchising is a successful business with minimal risks, customers and well-known names from the beginning. Finally, we show how did this business system has been developed in the Republic of Moldova. JEL: L2, L26
