dc.descriptionThe objective of this article is to demonstrate the main factors that determine the massive migration of the population of the Republic of Moldova, both the factors that intensified the migration process ten years ago and now, the areas where the population often migrates, and what are the reasons for choosing the destination, which category of people is prone to migrate in higher rates. Another objective is to determine how the COVID-19 pandemic influences the migration process in the Republic of Moldova, how Moldovan migrant citizens have overcome and continue to overcome this crisis, and, also if this COVID-19 has influenced to some extent the diaspora to return home.
