MANCAŞ, Maria. Competenţele profesionale ale jurnalistului economic. In: Competitivitate şi inovare în economia cunoaşterii [online]: conf. șt. intern., ed. a 21-a: Lucrări ştiinţifice, 27-28 sept., 2019. Chişinău: ASEM, 2019, pp. 465-471. ISBN 978-9975-75-968-7.
The current crisis of the economy, in general, updates the importance of economic journalism from the perspective of the need for in-depth research on the quality of this form of journalism. The economic journalist must discover the world of markets and companies, search, obtain economic and financial data, research financial data, interview experts in the field, write economic news, provide economic information according to the level of informational specialization of the public, to communicate from a corporate, institutional point of view, etc. Thus, the economic journalist must be versed in creating media products with an economic profile. And, for this purpose, the economic journalist has to be guided, in our opinion, by certain valuable „professional” anchors (competences), such as: knowledge of economy, creativity, proactive attitude, etc. Both digital native economic journalists and digital immigrant economic journalists have the opportunity to perfect their media product with economic specialization through the professional „anchors” (competences) PQ, IQ, EQ, SQ, AQ, HQ (where: PQ stands for physical capabilities, IQ - cognitive abilities, EQ - emotional capabilities, SQ - spiritual ability, AQ - adversity coefficient and, HQ - energy level). At the same time, economic journalists will exercise their professional mission with maximum efficiency, if they pay attention to the „anchors” of mental and spiritual health, such as: selfesteem, self-recognition and self-realization. And the professional roles that the economic journalist assumes in his activity will help him to overcome the challenges that he faces in the economic field, to facilitate the interpretation of the specialized journalistic text for the approved and unapproved audiences in the economic field.
