Innovation is considered the engine of the economic development. To think innovatively means to come to the market with something absolutely new, different from the competitors and to obtain success in a very short time. Through this research the authors have proposed to present the notion of “innovation’’, ’’creativity’’ together with ’’startup’’ and also present the importance of product innovation and process innovation. The authors have identified clear examples of worldwide startups which have already applied the product and process innovation. A special focus of the paper was to analyze Moldovian startups which apply the innovation inspired by the foreign experience. GEL: M13
