dc.descriptionToday, consumer lending in the Republic of Belarus is one of the most promising services provided by banks to the population. Consumer credit contributes to the relative equalization of living standards of people with unequal incomes, and reduces the gap between the level and structure of consumption of different social groups. The article discusses the main characteristics of the asset securitization mechanism, as well as the need for its implementation in the activities of banks. The analysis of debt on consumer loans issued by banks of the Republic of Belarus and overdue debt on consumer loans The current legislative acts governing this mechanism are listed. Particular attention is paid to the characterization of the stages of the securitization process.General scientific research methods, functional and structural analysis methods were used. JEL: J240
