dc.descriptionThe article describe that the main economic function of commercial banks is to provide services in the field lending. Lending activity, on the one hand, aims to increase the bank's income, on the other part, if we refer to the role of the bank in the macroeconomic system, the lending activity has the purpose of obtaining an essential increase in share capital. From the composition of the portfolio of Loans are part of various types of lending operations, which differ in subject and object lending. The banking supervision function aims to ensure the proper functioning of the financial system of the Republic of Moldova based on a strong and competitive banking sector oriented towards market relations and risk prevention. In this context, the National Bank of Moldova, according to the powers and rights conferred by law, inspects banks both remotely and in the field. JEL: E58, G21, G23.
