dc.descriptionIn this paper we have identified the causes which triggered the financial and banking crisis in 2008, with the efforts of the authorities to stop it, as well as presenting the measures that have been taken and must be taken in order to prevent future crises, with the aim of identifying precautionary measures for the future manifestations of such phenomena. This paper focuses on some aspects which outline a systemic image of the global crisis with its negative implications on the entire financial - banking gear. JEL: G21, E60, I22
