Despite the fact that risk management is one of the most relevant areas of management in commercial banks, there are no unambiguous approaches to the concept and content of risks of credit institutions in the theoretical literature. One of the controversial issues is the classification of banking risks. The existing approaches to the classification of banking risks, formulated by scientists, regulatory authorities and commercial structures, give reason to believe that to date the banking community is not on the same and scientifically sound positions on this issue.
