In the past two decades, the unprecedented development of information technologies revolutionized the word econnomy. The new economy is taking shape, one based on Information Technology and computer networks, one where the Internet plays an essential part by diminishing the physical and economic barriers of traditional economy. The Internet represents new opportunities for the traditional companies. An E-commerce site can be used by the firms and consumers having an Internet connection from all over the world. In Republic of Moldova the level of the online sales an services keeps growing, even if it i sunder EU average level. As professional accountants, it is very important to be prepared in this field, to know what are the conditions to operate legally in this sector of activity and what is the accounting and fiscal regime, so that we can face all the challenges.
