| dc.description | Any commercial activity is subject to certain risks, i.e. the probability of losses (losses). The bank's performance is determined by the quality of its loan and deposit portfolios. Despite the well-developed intuition of senior bank managers, it is often not enough for high-quality management of financial flows in dozens of markets in various countries with rapidly changing external conditions. The increased competition between banks currently entails the need to learn and apply in practice the positive experience of bank risk management .Research methods: the method of a systematic approach, deduction, analysis and synthesis, general scientific research methods, as well as methods of functional analysis. Results: the analysis of various points of view set out in the special economic literature and regulatory legal documents allowed us to substantiate the economic content of the concept of "bank risk" and offer a different interpretation of the above concept.
