This article explores the principles of reforming the EU's migration policy at the contemporary stage, the problems that created threats to the national security of the countries of the community. Causes of excessive migration flows are the military operations in the Middle East. The "Refugee Crisis" from 2014-2015 requires EU countries to review the positions of migration policy from multiculturalism to assure their own internal security. Migration policy has its roots in the multidimensionality of the migration as well as the political one. In our view, migration policy is a process of reconciling state interests in the field of migration regulation with the interests of migrants, society, economic and political elites, social parties and institutions.
