1, pp. 262-271. E-ISBN 978-9975-75-932-8.
The basic purpose of the article is to carry out the current and long-term (until 2050) analysis of the sustainability of the national public pension system. The objective is to raise public awareness of the difficulties of the long-term pension system, as nothing is done to change the current situation. The analysis of the current situation and long-term forecasts shows that the national pension system requires identifying and developing long-term sustainability solutions as a result of the negative impact of demographic and employment factors that threaten economic and social security of the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, the article contains an analysis to identify alternative solutions for reforming the national public pension system, thus contributing to ensuring the social and economic security of the country. JEL: H55, H6, C18.
